Eaton’s electrical engineering services and systems division is currently seeking a senior electrical design engineer to join our team. this position will be based at any of the locations listed above or from a remote / home office in the states of the locations listed above. position overview: eaton's electrical services & systems team offers a comprehensive portfolio of services tailored for every stage of a power system’s life cycle-whether it’s design, build, or support. our services integrate and optimize the elements of a power system to make sure it’s aligned with business goals. we can help keep your power system safe, efficient, reliable, and up-to-date. the purpose of this position is to provide design engineering services instrumental to the completion of major projects. this position is to provide engineering leadership to teams of designers/discipline specific engineers to create complete designs including both electrical and layout packages to support design-build projects. the lead design engineer is responsible for managing design deliverables to maintain project schedule, design budget, design accuracy, and submittal completeness working in concert with designers. the lead design engineer is charged with value added engineering of team designs to provide a quality product while driving efficiencies. the lead design engineer shall act as a single point of contact to project manager for design technical assistance. other tasks that the lead design engineer will take part in include scope development, estimating, and subcontractor bid leveling. specifications power system studies single lines drawings general arrangement drawings elevation drawings three-line drawings schematics wiring diagrams interconnection diagrams conduit/cable plans lighting plans/drawings lightning protection plans/drawings control power drawings grounding drawings/details grading plans foundation layouts foundation plans/details equipment testing procedure stronger. qualifications required (basic) qualifications: bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution minimum of 7 years of electrical engineering, power system or engineering design experience legally authorized to work in the us without company sponsorship preferred qualifications: pe license bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution pmp certification position criteria: demonstrated experience with autocad and/or microstation working knowledge of nerc/ferc, nesc, nec, ansi, neta, ieee familiarity with power system engineering calculations periodically submit to background & drug screens as required for on-site work by customers must be comfortable working with microsoft office suite (outlook, powerpoint, excel, etc.) must
