essential job functions

identifies relationships between process input and output variables. extracts and organizes data from various sources. analyze technical data, designs, and specifications. uses mathematical or statistical methods to identify or analyze problems. troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical components. designs and executes projects to improve a wide variety of processes. learns and understand the interactions between various processes in an integrated environment. assists with implementation of projects for improving processes including – test plans, sops, procedure sheets, maintenance schedules, reference spreadsheets, etc. characterizes and tests electromechanical systems. prepares charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization. records test results, procedures, and inspection data. prepares technical reports and related documentation. acts as liaison between engineering and manufacturing departments and personnel. interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine reliability standards. organizes and maintains all drawings and part files for the manufacturing engineering group in pdm link system. works with personnel in other departments and other disciplines to complete project assignments and to solve cross-functional design issues. may include design work on cad or assisting with manufacturing parts for engineering. compiles statistical data to determine and maintain quality products. interprets engineering drawings or schematic diagrams, to build various fixtures or machines/equipment. recommends revisions to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve throughput. studies times, motivation, methods, and speed involved in maintenance records for identified equipment. performs other tasks and duties as assigned.

preferred job qualifications

bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering. associates degree with 5+ years related experience may be considered as substitute, but not preferred. 3-6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering work. ability to work well under pressure in a high stress, high growth, and high change environment. depicts improvement recommendations of intelliserv workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization in diagrams and drawings. basic understanding of blueprints, mechanical drawings, electronic schematics and formulas in order to determine reliability standards. understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods. understanding of lean manufacturing & engineering principles. ability to analyze technical data such as engineering documents, designs, and specifications. ability to train employees on newly released apparatus and production tooling. experience with inspection of manufactured products and materials and documentation of test results. experience working with measuring tools, power tools, heating tools, and small machines typical for manufacturing engineering experience maintaining or operating production test systems. strong experience with different types of metals and their application. proficient reading and understanding blueprints of mechanical drawings and electronic schematics and formulas in order to determine reliability standards. strong electrical experience such as conduit preparation/installation, running electrical/data wires, and panel installation. strong experience in electronic component, circuit testing, troubleshooting and root cause analysis. experience using vector network analyzer. good mathematical, statistical and analytical abilities. thorough understanding of standard operating procedures in engineering. proficient working with measuring tools, power tools, heating tools, and small machines typical for engineering (i.e. multi meters, frequency meters, mig, tig welders, plasma cutters, full set of hand tools, heat guns, soldering stations, 12” calipers, hand and bench grinders, drill press, bench brakes, shear and roller systems). ',
