robert half is looking to permanent an accounting clerk for an admired company in the real estate property/facilities mgt industry. in this role, you will be responsible for data entry, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and assisting in the process of accounts payable (a/p) and accounts receivable (a/r). this fast-paced environment offers you a great work space/office, excellent benefits, and great career advancement opportunity. this is a long-term contract / contract / temporary to permanent position based in the farmington, utah area.

your responsibilities

- collaborate with accounts receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

- aid accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, a/p invoice matching & filing

- organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

- prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

- upload financial information to journals and ledgers

- harmonize discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

- overall accounting: help with g/l account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

- spreadsheet and erp system experience suggested

- manage vendor relationships experience preferred

- comprehensive knowledge of accounts receivable (ar)

- strong familiarity with microsoft excel

- proven knowledge of purchasing management

- experience with maintain vendor files

- well-founded grasp of yardi

- accounts payable (ap) experience preferred

- data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

- 3+ years of relevant experience

- aa or bs/ba in accounting or related field preferred
