ion solar is looking for world class electrical compliance operations manager to join our expanding team. ion solar is looking to become the industry leader in pv solar quality and efficiency. at ion solar, the electrical compliance department primary goal is review install deliverables, support electrical install, maintain jurisdictional code compliance, and manage quality for engineering and installation.

responsibilities:

compliance manager has the following responsibilities and duties:

manage a team of 8-12 electrical compliance specialists to oversee install quality, design and engineering quality, code compliance, and support install through technical assistance. train and upskill technical subject matter expertise for residential solar code compliance and to successfully excel in high production and quality standards to become the best in the industry. coordinate and problem-solve with internal departments and field operations to resolve ongoing and new issues, prioritize assignments, handle project escalations, and maintain project timeline expectations. responsible to learn and master solar engineering and installation related subject matter expertise and industry code standards to avoid unnecessary rework, reduce costs in terms of labor and material for all departments.

qualifications:

compliance manager should have the following skills, education and experience:

3 years minimum field experience as a master or journeyman electrician, or 3 years pv design experience; or 4-year electrical engineering type degree; or certificate from a technical college 3 – 5 years operations management experience required in a related or relevant role. extremely proficient at electrical code understanding and electrical installation. ability to upskill individuals / team with continuous coaching and feedback and high accountability in areas of needed improvement for following sops and meeting industry competitive performance expectations. work closely with structural engineers and master electricians for accurate and cost-efficient design / install decisions. efficient with energy storage system (battery) design, ground mount design, and / or other custom electrical line diagram design preferred but not required. nabcep pv installation professional certification preferred. ability to manage time effectively and make quick accurate decisions. ability to communicate effectively with other team members, engineering, and other operations teams. proficiency in solar design related software such as aurora, autocad, and excellent computer skills preferred. self-driven to bring top performance to the team. ability to work in a team as well as work independently. detail-oriented individual who can deliver high quality projects end-to-end
