schedule: 10:30 am -9:00 pm monday - thursday, may be asked to rotate to cover off shift pto requests (nights, weekends) 2-3 times per year. will participate in monthly call rotation. because of trauma designation associate must be able to respond to department within 30 minutes of call activation.

what you will do
lead daily operations of surgical suites in support of surgical procedures.
lead and coordinate shift operations including schedules and resources.prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies. assist surgeons during surgery, providing required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon and assisting with hemostasis.assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures. perform staff orientation, training, and coaching. provide input to staff performance evaluations.what you will need
licensure / certification / registration:
bls provider credentialed from the american heart association (aha) obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.one or more of the following required:registered nurse credentialed from the texas board of nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.surgical assistant credentialed from the national board of surgical technology and surgical assisting (nbstsa) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.surgical tech credentialed from the national center for competency testing (ncct) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.surgical tech credentialed from the national board of surgical technology and surgical assisting (nbstsa) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.central service tech preferred.education:
high school diploma/ged with 2 years of experience, or associate's degree, or technical degree required.work experience:
1 year of experience required.additional preferences
