eligibility: current connecticut registered nurse license bsn preferred. two years of hospital experience in a health care organization within the past two years in critical care current bls certification current acls certification cannot be currently employed at waterbury hospital or echn. # orientation: clinical orientation must be completed within 30 days of hospital orientation. continuing education: employees are required to successfully complete all hospitals# mandatory education. it is the employee#s responsibility to complete and return all continuing education documents, i.e. certificates/forms by the posted due date to document knowledge of recent changes. work requirement: a minimum of 24 hours per month, this includes (1) 12-hour weekend shift (weekend starts friday 11pm- 7am monday). a maximum of 60 hours per month will be permitted. may float to medical-surgical unit, telemetry, or step down if indicated. all employees must be willing to rotate between waterbury hospital and echn manchester memorial hospital in critical care. # the central scheduling office will notify employee via the provided phone number if there is a need to change the assigned facility prior to the start of the shift.# employee will be notified of any change 2 hours prior to the start of the shift. # holiday commitment: employees are required to work (1) 12-hour holiday under group a; and (1) date under group b, per year, to meet the holiday commitment. #
