core responsibilities:


•        become the company wide payroll champion which includes processing semi-monthly payroll, bonuses, commissions, state & local taxes, leave management, and promotions.


•        help to on-board and off-board teammates using hris and payroll processes


•        educate and support teammates on day-to-day benefits questions and life events


•        manage day-to-day benefit plans including design, reporting and changes  through-out the plan year


•        partner with finance on payroll reporting and benefit payments 


•        support teammate appreciation programs


•        partner with external people operations partners - benefits broker, tax advisor, legal counsel and hris contacts


•        help build out hris payroll system and enhancements as needed


•        own annual open enrollment process for teammates including communication, systems and reporting requirements


•        create and run reports such as annual compliance reports, monthly benefits reconciliation, employee engagement reporting and trends, and others.


•        work with regions on current and new contractor agreements and payment


•        support annual compliance reporting needs for the company


•        keep finger on pulse of external marketplace as it relates to market benefit & perk offerings

 

must have skills:


•        payroll processing experience in small to mid-sized company


•        benefit plan knowledge including healthcare, retirement, cafeteria plans


•        ability to prioritize work


•        extremely organized


•        gain credibility through confidentiality and trust


•        detail oriented


•        analytical and critical thinker


•        ability to project manage


•        strong written and verbal communication


•        comfortable working in a fast paced environment


•        strong excel skills - formulas, pivot tables, etc.


•        comfortable working in changing environment (ambiguity)


•        2+ years payroll experience preferred

nice to have:


•        paycor experience


•        compliance reporting knowledge


•        finance reporting experience
