Production associate - robot operator - 1st shift - united states, streaky bay

primary function:

carry out assignments from area leader and area coordinators to produce luxair welded parts. load luxair sub-components parts into tack weld fixtures, operate robot and unload parts manually or by use of hoist lift assist. load tacked sub-components into weld fixture for final weld, and unload parts manually or by use of hoist lift assist. use mig welder to perform basic tacking processes and or cosmetic touch-ups.conduct quality inspections on welded parts to ensure all welds meet specification.perform 5s in and around work area.comply with all safety standards and policies to include but not limited to:proper use of required ppe weld safetyproper ergonomicshoist safetymust participate in visual workplace, kaizen events and meet quality and production goals set by management.

major responsbilities:

load, operate, and unload parts into weld robot.safely use and operate electronic hoist in the handling of materials.hand welding with mig welder. perform minor maintenance on machines and equipment, including lubrication and minor maintenance checks.must understand how to interpret and use kanban system/lot traceability database.accurately report your production and quality activities in the mos system.all other duties as assigned.to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. the require­ments listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:must complete training to operate weld robot equipment, perform basic mig welding, utilize electronic lift assist, and demonstrate the ability to decern quality of produced parts per specification.high school diploma or ged.must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. possess the ability to use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.must be able to physically lift, up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and operate overhead crane and electric lift-assist hoist on a frequent basis, as a means of ergonomically handling materials from station to station.
