position: sr. electrical engineer
term: direct hire
1st shift: 8 am - 5 pm - monday through friday
salary: $95k - $115k - doe
responsibilities include:design, modify, and evaluate electronic systems, components, and circuitry for use in aircraft environments (high altitudes, high moisture, extreme temperatures)design using computer processors, motor controllers, power supplies, filters, and communication interfaces (such as ethernet, spi, can, arinc429, and usb)design for certification requirements of rtca/do-160g such as emi, esd, and surge requirementsexecute trade studies, component selection, and schematic capture of electrical designsmanage pcb layout, placement, and fabrication activities with pcb layout resourcesperform prototyping, characterization, test, rca, and modification of electrical circuitryperform design verification testing with traceability against hardware requirementsgenerate and maintain electrical design documentation such as electrical block diagrams and bomssupport manufacturing for current designsgenerate and present technical material to satisfy design review and formal process requirementsapply risk management practices to ensure projects are on time, within budget and fulfilling all contractual and technical requirementsperform design work under as9100 qms processes and in accordance with design and development proceduressupport regulatory and do-160g certification testingtravel to support test and project needs (less than 5% travel)requirements:bachelor of science in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering from an abet accredited college5 years of engineering experience in product developmentexpertise in hands-on prototyping and use of test equipment such as temperature chambers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopesability to read, understand, and comply with written design process requirementsself-driven, methodical thinker, able to excel with minimal supervisionstrong written and verbal communication skills including ability to present technical information in team environment
