responsibilities

the primary function of this position is to administer the cng and scg transportation programs as outlined in the transportation receipt service tariff rate schedules for both companies. this includes administration of all ancillary services (peaking, storage, capacity release, stand-by and balancing), third party supplier gas nomination and scheduling, customer enrollments & terminations and maintenance of gas supplier websites. this position is responsible for answering questions and providing information to third-party suppliers, customers and other parties seeking customer information on the transportation program. this position is also responsible for reporting activity to senior management and regulatory agencies. some travel between cng/scg/uil locations may be required.


major roles and responsibilities (scope of work - range of responsibilities):

•    calculates monthly third-party supplier billing including peaking, storage, cash-out, standby charges, penalties and any necessary adjustments by reconciling daily nominations and imbalance trades with impacted parties.
•    responds to customer/third party supplier inquires related to transportation service, transportation related tariffs and billing components.
•    meet with customers and/or third-party suppliers to explain cng/scg transportation service programs.
•    process customer requests for enrollment in and termination from third- party supplier service. 
•    coordinate with other departments to validate and facilitate customers' transitions between company sales and third-party supply service.
•    manage third party supplier 'open season' and execution of ancillary service contracts.
•    day to day tracking of third-party gas supply nominations and deliveries to ensure system reliability. 
•    communicate 'operation flow orders' and 'critical days' to third -party suppliers in a timely manner.
•    compiles data and generates monthly transportation report for the public utilities regulatory authority. 
•    completes reports for internal and external distribution.
•    maintains 'for supplier and partner' section of cng/scg websites, including third party supplier secured sites to ensure accurate and up-to-date content.
 



skills and requirements

•    bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, economics, engineering, finance, or related field.
•    knowledge of natural gas industry, utility regulation, retail choice programs and natural gas procurement. 
•    sap experience preferred.

skills/abilities: 

•    strong quantitative, database, spreadsheet, problem solving and analytical skills. must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

•    minimum of 5 years experienced preferred
