boeing commercial airplanes is seeking an associate production engineering technical writer to support all locations and programs within the puget sound region, such as 777x, 767/tanker, 737 programs, fabrication division, and more. a successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. they will also have a strong desire to be out in the factory, interacting with mechanics, safety, and equipment services, and directly supporting the production system. in production engineering, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.

position responsibilities:

develop an understanding of how the tooling & equipment organization operates.

discovers new opportunities and solutions by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking.

aid in the identification and correction of processes and information governing quality and safe operation of production assets.

develops processes and documents that meet the highest technical and quality standards.

manages and maintains existing documentation, including engineering processes and standards.

implements systems thinking, identifying opportunities to improve management and the inter-relationships of the documentation governing production assets.


this position is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in the puget sound region.

basic qualifications (required skills/experience):

1+ years of experience in technical writing or publication

1+ years of experience utilizing the following ms office applications (word, excel, outlook and powerpoint)

1+ years of experience producing both written and verbal technical communication to cross functional teams

experience utilizing data and analytics tools to measure plan/campaign performance and to drive continuous improvement


preferred qualifications (desired skills/experience):

1+ years of experience in the aerospace or aviation industry

experience with adobe products


typical education/experience:

education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
