boeing commercial airplanes (bca) is looking for a motivated operations procurement agent to join the interior integration team located in renton, wa and /or everett, wa.


this team provides a great opportunity to build skills in development program execution with cutting-edge seating, in-flight entertainment & connectivity products that are key to our customer's product differentiation; these can be either bfe (buyer furnished equipment) or sfe (seller furnished equipment) products. as an operations procurement agent you will be part of an integrated product team (ipt), and have interfacing relationships with program managers and engineers. you will regularly interact with program/operations leadership and airline customers. this position may require up to 15% travel (domestic and/or international).


position responsibilities:

provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance

leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions

prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements

interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions

consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues

leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities

participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies

performs some level of system transactions, data entry, prepares and presents technical information as needed

basic qualifications (required skills/experience):

3+ years of experience within supplier management, supply chain, project management, and/or procurement practices and processes

able to travel both domestically and internationally, up to 15% of the time


preferred qualifications (desired skills/experience):

supplier/customer leadership engagement and program executive & manufacturing interface

supplier health/key performance indicators, rate readiness capability and capacity assessment

buyer furnished equipment experience, integrated product team (ipt)/development environment, teaming with on-site representatives

bachelor's degree or higher/military experience

familiarity with microsoft office products (excel, power point, onenote, sharepoint)


typical education/experience:

typically 6 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. advanced degree (e.g. bachelor, master, etc.) preferred, but not required.


relocation:

onsite, telecommuting or virtual verbiage:

this position allows telecommuting. the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
