job purpose or job summary:

the shipping and receiving operator is responsible for a variety of shipping tasks including small package shipping, picking orders, shipping orders, forklift operation including loading and unloading of trailers. maintain accurate inventory through the use of the warehouse management system. the operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and any tools, used in the warehouse to complete tasks.

essential duties and responsibilities:

function within the guidelines of the lube-tech “team ground rules” and mission statementusing forklift and/or pallet jacks to pick ordersreceiving of vendor receipts and transfersinspection materials for nonconformitiesuse the warehouse management systemoperate hand jack or forklift to load truckswrap palletspreparation of hazardous materials for shipmentpack cartons correctly and stack cartons on palletsfollow work instructions as given by supervisor, line staff, or quality manualreport non-conformities to the supervisor

minimum qualifications:

education: high school diploma or equivalent

experience and/or training:

one or more years in warehouse setting recommended good attention to detailhigh level of flexibilityknowledge of quality management systemknowledge of inspection processesability to follow english - written and verbal instructionsbasic mathematical skills

licenses/certificates:

 forklift certification recommended not required. will certify within the lube tech safety guidelines

 technology/equipment:

knowledge of wms or erp system preferred, not required
