responsibilities and duties;
this position is responsible is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. this includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and works with business, corporate and it partners to oversee all phases of the project, and to ensure that related project processes are completed as required (including, as applicable, change management, process management, transition to business/operations, system development, quality management, etc.).
successful candidates will possess the following skills and qualifications;
education: ba/bs w/7+ yrs experience
demonstrated experience in a project management capacity. certification in project management (pmi/pmp) is desirable
experience using lean principles and tools
experience working on it implementation projects is highly desired.
experience with manufacturing and/or distribution is highly desired.
need to be technically competent with various software programs, such as ms office. proficiency with ms project desirable.
experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
strong written and oral communication skills; ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise
ability to interact and work with employees at all levels throughout the organization
frequent travel
