l.a. learning center seeks enthusiastic lead preschool who want to make a difference in the lives of little children. preschool is the only school environment where play and creativity are the way we learn and grow.

our lead teachers work together to:

develop lesson plans. provide patience with a listening ear communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff excellent writing skills to deliver child's progress to parents and other teachers. design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom. creativity: using new and innovative ways to engage children to learn. instructional skills: being able to communicate concepts empathetic to children's emotions and parent's needs. participation in staff and training meetings. presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level. planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills. building teamwork. using assessment tools. committed to continuing education.

qualifications:

must meet maryland state requirements. lead teacher qualified with 90 hours msde training. one-year of child development experience in a licensed day care center. preferred license or certification: early childhood certification. commitment to professional development. have or willing to obtain sids/shaken baby, cpr, and first aid certification. salary dependent on experience and level of education. promote a safe and fun classroom environment for children designing and implementing classroom management, assist with daily observation of the children participate in parent-teacher conferences follow the classroom daily lesson plan prepare classroom for class activities engage children in learning and playing discuss children's progress and needs addressing daily situations involving children assist in the management of the preschool classroom maintain cumulative records of children's development help shape children's lives speak and interact with children provide emotional and physical support for children maintain constant supervision of classroom children at all times feel a part of children's learning experiences meeting the individual's needs of the children communicate in a manner that children receive
