requirements: 

at least 1+ years of experience at a histotech is required prior experience in gastro is preferred, but not required  fl doh clinical laboratory personnel (histology) license required
responsibilities:  create adequate histologic sections with proper leveling between each section applied onto glass slides complete review and signs all procedures before performance meets all safety training requirements as needed able to produce a moderate volume of slides without risk to patient identification able to execute any other duties required by the laboratory management staff knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology to perform job functions performs instrument maintenance/qc and documents all actions maintains adequate supplies for the histology laboratory—troubleshoots stains as needed daily assignments include, but are not limited to, embedding, microtomy, staining, cytoprep, and ihc
