Sr. systems administrator - contract-to-hire - brooklyn park, mn

our client is seeking a contract-to-hire employee to support their data center operations, including network equipment, desktop, pc's, servers, and business applications. this individual will also be responsible for the planning and execution of select infrastructure projects. this position will sit in-office in brooklyn park, mn.

responsibilities:manage and maintain servers and hyper-converged infrastructure, working with os's including windows, linux, and unix; manage installation and configuration of new technologies as well as performance tuningmanage and maintain storage, disaster recovery, security, data integrity, and other systems and processes, ensuring optimal performance for allcollaborate with enterprise-wide infrastructure team to ensure system consistency and participate in strategic planningtroubleshoot problems with existing systems and identify solutions to prevent issue recurrencemanage small-to-medium infrastructure projectsmentor team members in infrastructure project dutiesmaintain relationships with technology vendors
requirements:5-10 more years of experience supporting and administering infrastructure in a hybrid environment, including implementation, troubleshooting, and administrationmicrosoft certifications preferred, but not requiredbachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experiencesignificant experience with the following competencies and technologieswindows operating systems on both the server and client sidesmicrosoft active directory, including design, migration, and administrationmicrosoft office applications, including visio and projectpowershell scriptingpc engineeringsoftware deploymentvmware or nutanixnetwork technologies - lan, wan, wireless, firewalls, routers, switchesbackup and recovery systems
