paccar is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture, and customer support of high-quality light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the kenworth, peterbilt and daf name plates.  paccar is seeking a senior treasury analyst to work with its corporate cash investments and pension plan investments.  paccar treasury oversees the company’s $4.8 billion in cash and marketable securities and $6 billion in erisa pension and savings plan assets.   the company is seeking a motivated individual with excellent critical thinking skills, a focus on continuous improvement, and a desire to learn capital markets and investments.  


the position is located in bellevue, washington.


job functions / responsibilities


•    utilize treasury systems to prepare monthly investment income and marketable debt securities schedules for investment portfolios.
•    prepare schedules of quarterly marketable securities fair value disclosures.
•    prepare schedules in support of annual pension plan reporting.
•    prepare performance reports for cash portfolios, pension and savings plans.
•    execute money market trades for operating cash portfolios.
•    back-up global cash manager on daily cash positioning reviews. 
•    perform operations tasks associated with investment portfolios.
•    maintain cash investment compliance testing system.
•    perform internal control testing related to investment and banking systems.
•    interface with investment custodians, banks, brokers, auditors and accountants. 


qualifications & skills


•    bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field is required.  
•    cfa designation or in process or cpa is desired.
•    2+ years of work experience in related field is preferred
•    proficiency with microsoft office word, excel, and powerpoint.
•    knowledge of asc 320/fas 115 and asc 820/fas 157 is a plus.
•    experience with clearwater analytics, bloomberg, and tableau a plus.
•    knowledge of money market and marketable debt securities is a plus.
•    strong understanding of financial statements.
•    detail-oriented with high level of accuracy.
•    ability to meet deadlines, excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
•    ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
