join our celebration!   what better time than the holidays to help others enjoy this joyous season?  we are seeking temporary holiday helpers to make gift baskets, keep our stores sparkling, stock our shelves and provide enthusiastic customer service for our guests.

our 2021 holiday season begins october 15, 2021 and continues through january 1st,, 2022.  to earn your full $500 bonus, you must work on mandatory shifts of:   the day before thanksgiving, christmas week, and new year’s eve.  as a  seasonal associate, you may be scheduled for morning, daytime, or evening shifts any day of the week, monday through sunday.  we will work with your schedule as best as possible.  this is meant to be a part-time position of under 30 hours per week.  

responsibilities

seasonal associates may do some or all of the following, depending on store needs:

share holiday cheer and goodwill with our fellow team members and guestsprovide exceptional guest service by greeting and assisting all guests, answering questions, recommending products, and locating items in-store or at a nearby abc locationassist guests in getting their purchases to their vehiclecreate gift baskets as needed, wrapping with enthusiasm, with attention to detail and creativityoperate a point-of-sale terminal to process guest transactions, involving basic cash handling and applying coupons or discounts in accordance with company policy (trained staff only)unload delivery trucks, if needed, depending on scheduleassist in stocking the store throughout, including shelves and coolerskeep the store clean, which includes: assist with box breakdown, light trash removal, and light cleaning duties (sweep, mop, keep bathrooms clean and supplied)covid-19 specific cleaning duties if assigned, throughout storedeliver products to curbside as needed to our guests in their carsarrive for shifts on time and ready to work. shifts may vary and are usually scheduled between the hours of 11 am – 7 pm, 12 pm – 8 pm, and/or 3 pm – 10 pm.)other duties as assigned

notes:

seasonal temporary team members who work all assigned holiday shifts, which include the day before thanksgiving, christmas week, and new year’s eve, are eligible for a one-time paid bonus of $500. this bonus is paid in addition to their hourly compensation.  it will be prorated for employees who start after the holiday season begins.seasonal team members can enjoy abc employee discounts (20-25% off s&c products; 40% off healthy food and beverage options)seasonal temporary team members may be eligible to become ongoing employees of abc, if there is a need for post-holiday staffing and if the temporary staff and team leader agree that ongoing employment is a fit for both parties.

must be able to frequently lift and/or transport 25 poundsmust be able to stoop, lift, stretch, bend and move during shift for store tasksduring covid-19 procedures, must wear the appropriate ppe which includes face masks and gloves as neededmust be able to remain standing for long periods upwards of 8 hours at a time, and frequently move throughout the store, including stockrooms and backrooms on premisesmust frequently lift and/or transport up to 25 pounds throughout the store including through any stockrooms or backroom on premisesmust be able to operate a computer sales terminal and frequently handle or touch products, money and/or any object located within store property.  (will be done by trained staff only.)occasionally ascends and descends ladders and step stools to safely access stockroom and floor shelves as neededa person in this position frequently communicates to guests, team members, and any other persons who may enter the premises and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

work environment

the work environment is a busy store environment, with interaction with people and products throughout the store.the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.the team member is occasionally exposed to working in high, precarious places in the store or stockroom, when accessing ladders and steps stools is necessary.the team member is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, when maintaining the property and assisting guests is necessary.the team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, when utilizing cleaning solutions or supplies is necessary.  the team member is occasionally exposed to refrigerated temperatures between 32-41º f, when stocking and/or retrieving product in the cooler is necessary.
