the liaison engineering group represents engineering by supporting manufacturing on the production floor. they are critical in identifying the root cause of a non-conforming part and supporting the corrective action. this includes supporting the quality inspection of make and buy parts, discrepancies at next level assembly and design for manufacturability improvements. looking for hard working individual that can manage a team capable of navigating the technical challenges while agile enough to keep up with the production pace. manager is expected to provide clear direction, build competency, collect metric and continuously make improvements in the process and team. manager is also expected to participate in all of the functions of the team to gain valuable insight and promote process improvements.

duties and responsibilities:lead activities for engineering project(s) including planning and managing technical performance to ensure quality, business, and financial objectives are attained.implement current, annual and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives for the engineering unit and may also participate in the development of group/company objectives.participate in and coordinate the establishment of design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, testing, and integration.interact internally with engineering team and/or with suppliers, vendors or customers to share information and for basic problem resolution. may act as primary contact for engineering activities.may participate in the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract(s).ensure technical leadership and excellence is maintained by participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of the required management, professional, and technical talent.lead progress review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.identify engineering issues and provide leadership in developing solutions such as re-allocation of resources or modifying contract specifications.may participate in the development of new business opportunities and expansion of existing business opportunities.manage the development of and ensure the security of the unit's proprietary technology, and maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.other duties as assigned or required.we recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.


job qualifications:typically requires a bachelors, masters or phd in engineering or a related technical field as well as eleven or more years of progressively complex engineering experience with at least five of those years having management responsibilities. may substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.must have a thorough understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and expanding knowledge of principles, concepts, theory, and practices as applicable to electronic packaging for the defense industrymust possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problemsmust have strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas; capable of representing the organization as a prime technical contact and leading a team of moderately experienced professional employees on single component projects.
