Staff accountant - united states, bay city (michigan)
adecco is hiring a staff accountant for a local agricultural business in the saint johns area performing accounts payable functions with a starting wage between $16-$18 p/hr.
position overview
receive and verify invoices and reconcile supplier statemments
enter payables into system of record to create various payment type vouchers
manage check run and pre-pay processes
resolve external and internal invoice and payment inquiries
assist in other areas of accounting as needed (ar, assets, budgets, credit cards etc)
enter, update and maintain supplier files (inlcuding w9's and 1099's)
assist with fixed asset reconciling
qualifications
associate degree in accounting or comensurate experience required
minimum 5 yrs of experience with accounts payable, journal entries and inventory valuation
comfortable with automated and electronic processes.
strong math and communication skills
great attitude and professional appearance
proficient computer skills ie: microsoft office works and erp system experience a plus!!
