responsibilities for maintenance technician job include but are not limited to:

perform at a journeyman level for the following tasks: 

hydraulic/pneumatic maintenance and repair including rebuilding/repairing/maintaining hydraulic/pneumatic equipment

maintenance and repair of fittings, coupling hose reels, lines and regulators throughout the low air pressure air systems to various machinery systems

sheet metal working such as bending, cutting and fastening sheet metals to form various size racks, table, cabinet and shelves. able to relate storage racks/shelves and assemble carts

maintenance and repair of saw cutting machines, milling machines, hydraulic presses, grinders, sanders, threading machines, lathes, thermal imaging and printers, conveyors, compressors, pneumatic pumps, centrifugal pumps, electric motors, hydraulic motors, remote operated valves, electro-pneumatic-hydraulic controls, automation controls, safety interlocking devices

coordinate with internal customers the maintenance and repair of manufacturing critical equipment and machinery

perform the identification, acquisition, procurement, installation and monitoring of remote or local devices that measures/collects temperature & pressure reading, fluid analysis, vibration analysis, electrical continuity, rpm analysis, motor analysis and other device for the sustainment and operational readiness of all manufacturing critical equipment

maintain an accurate record in a computer, databased management system, for all assigned tasks or workers orders; recommends changes to preventive maintenance schedule (pms)

perform elements of tpm with computerized maintenance management software applications

perform daily accountability of all special tools, critical spare parts and repair parts under custody of the maintenance group; adheres to the 5s element of “lean engineering”

maintain work area, tools and equipment in a near, clean and orderly manner

 

candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:

2-5 years with direct industrial or manufacturing-level machinery maintenance and repair experience as a journeyman is required

prior experience with controls and low voltage electrical systems.

basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and metal fabrication skills

must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to relate to and communicate with individuals at all levels.

must be proficient in written and oral communication. 

entry level computer skills are required.

must be able to read and understand blueprints and machine control schematics.

must have the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

able to ascend heights above 10 feet

at least 2 years of maintenance working directly with cncs, plcs, industrial level saws, drills, tumblers, and punch punches is desired

vocational or trade school certification desired

knowledge in osha or calosha regulations on machine guarding, loto, electrical safety, working at heights and general industry safety is desired
