rhubarb recruitment is looking for an experienced restaurant manager to oversee the day to day operation of two side by side restaurant units in south east bristol, one offering informal artisan pizza and the other a more fine food modern british based menu and bar.

we are looking for a restaurant manager with experience in managing all foh aspects of a busy restaurant with a focus on ensuring its smooth and professional operation, including team motivation, management, rotas, health and safety, quality control, training and staff engagement and development. it is essential that you understand what excellent customer service experience means and that you are able to deliver a front of house team that gives a consistently warm, happy and friendly 'can do’ welcome to every one of the restaurant’s customers. a strong, calm and fair personality matched with excellent organisation skills is required; a manager that can lead and motivate the team to ensure ongoing excellence.

you should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of current restaurant and bar trends and be motivated to deliver these with consistency to help ensure increased footfall and public awareness of the businesses food offerings and brands in the area.

salary is £29,000 per year for 40hr contract, overtime is paid over 40hrs - 5 day week - straight shifts. 6 weeks holiday, over time, pension, life insurance and other benefits.
