architectural assistant / cad technician

salary circa £27,000 - £30,000 dependent on skills and experience

full time (37½ hours per week), permanent

our client specialise in helping our clients to create, shape, plan and implement their brand, corporate and visual identity around the world.

we work across multiple different sectors, including retail, automotive, banking, healthcare, transportation and corporate office / workplace.

we are a global business and as such we work with our clients to run design programmes of activity, wherever they may be based in the world.

our in-house design team is a fundamental workstream of our programme management and implementation infrastructure as well as bring intrinsically linked to our creative design consultancy business.

role

this role is to work with clients and franchise partners, supporting them with creating deliverable design solutions by applying their brand and visual identity standards across their network of facilities. the role is uk based, but it will support both uk and global rollout programmes of work.

key responsibilities: role includes, but is not limited to:

review and provide recommendations on architectural drawings & design schemes
co-ordinate the global design governance process
prepare project reviews and c.i. recommendations
own the weekly reporting process and the progress of follow up actions and responses.
managing responses to brand corporate identity (ci) related questions
processing and archiving project documentation and drawing reviews
general support to the design team as required

knowledge, skills & attributes:

essential

previous experience working in an architecture, design or ci related environment.
excellent organisational and administration skills including the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
excellent presentation skills
strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
proven track record working within a fast paced, retail design led role
software experience: adobe suite, microsoft office, autocad
team player
automotive experience would be advantageous, but not essential

desirable:

experience in retail or commercial space planning.
experience in 3d studio max, and revit.
experience in sketch up.
experience in adobe illustrator.
