Accounts payable/ receivable - united states, yorkton

adecco is searching for an account payable/ receivable specialist for a client based in york pa.. 1st shift  paying $19-$21 an hour depending on experience. the account  payable/ receivable specialist supports all aspects of accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely payments to vendors as well as prompt payments from the company's customers.

responsibilities include:

accounts receivable: enter bank deposits, process customer’s invoices and follow up with past dues when necessary.

accounts payable: enter vendor’s vouchers and process through payment

gather and maintain financial information on a monthly and annual basis.  meet with accountants annually for a year-end audit.

perform additional administrative duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and materials manager.

enter new orders, update existing orders and run contract review.

create job packets

maintain consignment inventory.

process debit and credit memos.

back up to shipping and receiving.

 qualifications:

college graduate preferred; high school diploma with courses in accounting a minimum

ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals

ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages

ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence and instructions

three years experience or equivalent, working in office environment with demonstrated typing and computer skills
