Finishing operator - united states, jamestown (new york)

adecco is currently looking for qualified finishing operators for manufacturers in rochester, ny. these are temp to hire opportunities on the a shift with pay starting at $18/hour. a qualified candidate will be responsible for washing, grinding, deburring, and heat-treating cast parts according to the supplied job router and prepare the product for advancement to the next dept.

 

responsibilities:

grinding/deburring of cast parts

clean & wash casted parts

load parts into oven for heat treat and age process, if required

inspect and segregate parts needing repair welding and report to group leader

identify product flaws in process and report to group leader

enter job time and part quantities into e2 shop system software

meet production requirements and quotas

work with travelers and routing information specific to jobs

acquire and retain knowledge of current shop software (e-2)

observe and follow all safety regulations and use common sense in new applications

 

requirements:

high school diploma or general education degree (ged)

basic math skills

experience working in manufacturing or production

knowledge of grinding equipment, files, sanders, and other sanding and finishing tools

ability to lift, bend, stand, twist for entire shift
