B shift mechanical assembly - united states, jamestown (new york)

adecco is looking for electro and mechanical assemblers for an established customer in east rochester, ny. these are temp to hire opportunities on the b shift (3:30 pm – 12:00 am) with pay starting at $20 per hour. a qualified candidate will be responsible for production assembly of components, wiring harnesses, and fitting and/or adjustment of interrelated parts.

 

responsibilities:

sets up and operates assembly equipment such as small hydraulic presses, stakers, small drill presses, welding machines, air drivers, spin riveters, and winders

assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems

reads work orders, electrical schematics, and production drawings

connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.

cuts wire to specified lengths and routes, combs, twists, wraps, ties, and attaches wire to terminal points

packs finished product for shipment

maintains work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment

actively participates in making cell improvements, suggests and helps implement performs duties in accordance with established quality standards

performs such similar, comparable, or related duties as may be required

 

requirements:

high school diploma or equivalent

minimum 1year experience

must be able to lift, bend, stand and twist for entire shift

ability to use various hand and power tools and equipment

basic computer skills

experience working from blueprints, engineering drawings, and customer orders

ability to lift to 30 lbs of material manually

working off shift hours are required, when needed

must be able to work overtime
