responsibilities for autocad jobs include but are not limited to:
create moderate to complex designs, layouts, assembly drawings, and detail drawings for new or existing products, special machinery designs, test equipment, tools, fixtures, and gauge designs.
understand moderate to complex mechanical and electro/mechanical systems and schematics.
general to proficient drafting skills with 3-d modeling software: solidworks and/or proe.
general to proficient drafting skills with 2-d modeling software: autocad
analyze various design requirements and recommends possible solutions or alternate constructions.
generates solid model renditions or 3d printer models to facilitate marketing and sales requirements.
solid understanding of drafting techniques
implement design changes through the dentsply quality system
basic to moderate skills at designing, developing, and conducting test parameters and protocols.
able to help manage project drawing/documentation packages for new product development
able to complete geometric tolerancing analysis and present findings to engineering staff
provides guidance to lower-level designers in r & d engineering.
provide information for design review and support the engineering staff.
able to present data and information in report form or power point presentations with little to no assistance from r&d engineers.
candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for autocad jobs:
associate degree in engineering or related field; trade school education in mechanical drawing with course work and experience in computer aided drafting and design.
minimum of 3 years of experience in a research & development and/or mechanical design environment.
demonstrated ability to create designs
