summary of the role
inclusion gloucestershire is a vibrant, successful user-led organisation. the delivery director is a pivotal role as part of our senior leadership team. the delivery director will ensure that managers are well supported and delivering all projects to the highest possible standard, as well as leading and developing the research arm of our work. this role sits alongside another delivery director, each will be leading on different strands of our work.
job purpose: to ensure that managers are well supported, that all projects are delivered to the highest possible standard and that this is clearly evidenced and reported on. to develop our research function, including working alongside the ceo to secure funding/contracts for research, and building upon previous research undertaken.

main duties and responsibilities
the duties of the delivery director will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. slt and governance
to be part of the senior leadership team, deciding and delivering strategy with the ceo, delivery director and finance director
attend and/or report to board meetings to report on relevant areas of work
2. management support
provide consistent support and management to inclusion gloucestershire managers
support managers to produce annual project plans, and receive updates to show progress against key deliverables and development targets.
ensure that all managers understand their roles, accept their responsibilities, deliver against targets and uphold and foster inclusion gloucestershire's values.
3. delivery and contract management
ensure we deliver excellence on all commissioned contracts and grants
ensure high quality delivery throughout our collective activities through robust planning and monitoring
manage contracts with third party providers
lead on quarterly monitoring to funders and annual reporting on delivery of projects within your remit
lead on the development of our research work, including working with the ceo to secure funding, and managing a team of research staff and volunteers
4. safeguarding
help to keep participants and staff safe and confident in their surroundings and act on safeguarding and health and safety concerns in line with inclusion gloucestershire's policies.
be proactive in encouraging staff to understand and raise safeguarding and health and safety concerns they identify in the course of their duties.
5. growth and sustainability
identify income generation and business development opportunities and prepare funding bids, with the support of the ceo.
support the delivery of our three year strategy, ensuring that teams are working towards shared goals, and developing the organisation in line with the strategy's aims.
6. other
work with the ceo and others as appropriate to develop innovation and sustainability
promote and advocate with and on behalf of people facing disabling barriers to government, funders, partners and other voluntary organisations
establish and maintain professional working relationships with board members, colleagues and volunteers of inclusion gloucestershire and the broad range of external organisations that we work with
work with the ceo in developing new partnerships and relationships which contributes to the implementation of our business plan.
represent inclusion gloucestershire in external meetings
advocate for inclusion gloucestershire and its projects at meetings and events and within your own appropriate networks.

hours and pay:
hours: 15 per week over 2-3 days
contract: permanent, subject to ongoing funding
pension: ig operates the nest pension scheme and will contribute 3% subject to qualifying status
salary: gbp32029 full time equivalent, pro rata
location: 2 st michaels court, st michaels square, gloucester, gl1 1jb
holiday: 28 days + bank holidays pro rata
