the newt in somerset – sous chef
we have several roles available in the different kitchens across our estate, all a little different but all driven by our productive gardens and farms. we offer great work/life balance, supplier visits, chef shoes and an opportunity to work with butchers, bakers, fishmongers, gardeners and foragers.
basic salary of £34,000 plus annual performance bonus and tronc

our sous chefs
working with our butchery, bakery, creamery, and gardens teams, our kitchens are supplied with fresh, seasonal produce of the highest quality. our sous chefs ensure the kitchen is performing to the highest of standards and producing beautiful dishes.
outside of service, our sous chefs assist the head chef with menu planning, budgeting, food ordering, recruitment and training.
