if you are bored with your existing role then i have just the position for you. i have a vacancy for a gardener (experienced or someone looking for a change in life and willing to learn) in bath & the surrounding area. would this suit you?

it’s a fast paced business, varied, and at times, manic but good fun. you will be working both in a team and under your own initiative keeping gardens in shape, rescuing jungles, planting, tree pruning, mowing, assisting in landscaping jobs, fencing, weeding, hedge cutting – it’s a very varied life!

your skills:

experience

as an experienced gardener you will be able to demonstrate good knowledge of gardening gained from either amateur or commercial environment. you must have knowledge of perennials and shrubs, able to demonstrate the appropriate time to trim and prune. you must be practised in using petrol hedge trimmers, able to trim hedges and shrubs to a high standard of finish.

trainee gardener – some gardening experience would be ideal but a desire to learn and to enjoy being outdoors and physically fit is key

car. you must have your own car and be willing to carry hand and power tools to each job.

hours. full time ideally but may consider part time to work around you. 8 hours a day 8-4 but finishing at 2pm on fri.

tools. i’ll provide everything you need but a deposit will be required.

location. bath & surrounding area.

wages. both positions are on a self employed basis (very easy to set up. training and support provided. key benefit will be the ability to offset expenses against tax so your take home salary will be far greater than in an equivalent salaried position.

wage range will be based on ability.

an experienced gardener will be earning £13.12 per hour but must demonstrate ability, able to work fast with a high degree of accuracy.

trainee gardener will earn £11.25 per hour initially rising as fast as your ability allows

salary progression based solely on effectiveness and aptitude. overtime available if required.
