type: fulltime (40 hours / week)  

length: long term temp assignment

pay: $37.12

shift/hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, monday – friday new york, new york      

responsibilities for this business analyst job include, but are not limited to:

• serve as a subject-matter-expert within the business on execution in line with the scaled agile framework (safe) methodology for product development

• support ai and sam strategic initiatives in capacity as a safe business analyst and/or product owner across both business, regulatory, operational and technical areas, including working with product management leads in defining and developing requirements, working with multiple organizations and stakeholders to obtain consensus on scope, approach, features, functionality, etc., working with technology partners to design and test system enhancements, coordinating and communicating launch/roll out activities

• identify, communicate and decompose business requirements into small, estimated, and functional user stories within a single iteration

• define functional and non-functional requirements in the form of acceptance criteria

• assist with gathering, documenting, and prioritizing input from users and stakeholders for future functional changes, identifying short term and long-term solutions

• assist with navigating complex governance and technology processes for budgeting, funding, approvals, etc.

• partner with stakeholders to act as a liaison between sales, origination, governance, operations, legal, risk, and compliance teams and internal technology and vendors

 

qualifications for this business analyst job:

in-depth knowledge of scrum and agile software development methodology

interest in the intersection of technology and innovation in financial services

agile user story development

experience in planning a user acceptance testing plan and execution

a passion for problem solving and improving the end user experience

working knowledge of product design and development architecture

high attention to detail, strong organizational skills and exemplary analytical skills

excellent communication skills across both technical and business areas

intellectually curious with a desire to identify and implement innovation

ability to prioritize and handle multiple job-related duties including day to day tasks and project work in a deadline oriented environment

ability to think critically while effectively managing and finding resolutions to complex situations independently

intermediate or advance skills working with ms sql query language and/or other foundational coding language; at least some experience using toad, ms access or other data extract systems for large databases and data warehouses

intermediate or advanced skills in ms excel, ms word, powerpoint and ms outlook

bachelor's degree in a business or technical subject area

able to work with minimal supervision

knowledge of credit agreement is highly preferred

 

optional skills:

experience with communication and/or content management systems

experience with website maintenance and/or design

financial services designations and/or registrations, such as cfa, caia, cfp, cpa, series 7/66

understanding of private client financial services across the brokerage and advisory space

experience with hedge and private equity funds; experience in the alternative investments industry

experience with support for and management of non-financial assets (real assets) i.e. real estate, farmland, timberland, oil & gas, private businesses

experience with business intelligence and reporting, experience using tableau or similar tools
