independent age works to ensure that as we grow older, we all have the opportunity to live well with dignity, choice and purpose. to achieve this we provide information, advice and connection services for older people; campaign on the issues that matter most to them around health and care, poverty and loneliness and provide capacity building support to others working in the sector.

you will be responsible for embedding and rolling out of a new national volunteering information and advice role at independent age. the aim of the new volunteering role is for volunteers to distribute independent age's information and advice guides across their own communities for example through local community centres, public spaces e.g. libraries, faith groups and workplaces, to ensure that as many people as possible have access to our award-winning information and advice resources and know about all the ways which we work with and for older people in the uk, to achieve our mission that we can all live with dignity, choice and purpose as we age.

you will also support in other areas including developing learning resources for volunteers, volunteer events, and ensuring equity, diversity and inclusion is embedded in all that we do.

if you have strong interpersonal and it skills, experience of working with volunteers and of coordinating and leading projects, along with the ability to manage multiple activities with competing deadlines are essential, feel passionate about our cause and share our values, then we'd love to meet you.

for our london based roles we offer hybrid working with at least 4 days a month working in the office. we are happy to offer a homebased option but there will be a requirement for regular travel to our london offices for which travel would be reimbursed.
