about this exciting opportunity
our successful candidate will liaise with st giles staff and external partner organisations to identify and engage appropriate learners for each programme, interview applicants, complete assessment paperwork, assess learning and other needs, and carry out risk assessments.
you will also work with learners to produce and review realistic individual learning, provide a comprehensive induction and plan and deliver engaging training programmes that fulfil the needs or st giles staff, peer advisors or clients - providing tailored guidance in person or remotely to individuals or small groups to keep the learners engaged on the programme. we will also count on you to collect feedback and evidence of the progress made by learners and to undertake the administration necessary for tracking learner progress.
what we are looking for
level 3 advice & guidance qualification.
an appropriate teaching-related qualification eg. level 3, 4 or 5 qualification in education and training or similar
an understanding of the issues faced by participants in accessing and sustaining training or employment
thorough understanding of the importance of quality assurance as it relates to training to vulnerable adults
demonstrable ability to support and motivate learners with multiple complex needs
proven ability to apply a creative approach to planning activities and to adopt a range of approaches
excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
