whilst past experience as a lawn technician is preferred, it is not essential as full “on the job” training as well as formal training in the use and handling of chemicals (pa1 and pa6) will be given.

main duties & responsibilities:

- carrying out planned service programmes on customer’s lawns. the treatments we deliver include spreading fertiliser, spraying herbicides, scarifying and hollow tinning (amongst others). we are looking for a team member who can operate accurately in line with the training provided.

- keeping accurate and up-to-date details of treatment applications.

- collecting and recording customer payments.

- we pride ourselves on delivering excellent quality customer service and are seeking a new team member who maintains our high professional standards regarding presentation and integrity.

- generating interest & leads with customers (this involves leaflet distribution and providing accurate quotes.)

- ensuring all equipment including vehicle are regularly cleaned and maintained in good working order.

- full uk driving licence is essential for this role.

- to be flexible in working arrangements, assisting in other aspects of the company as necessary.

health & safety

ensure that all necessary health & safety requirements are fulfilled, in relation to customers, colleagues and yourself. particularly in respect to coshh, movement of goods and chemical handling, storage and spraying (using nptc guidelines).

working in compliance with legislation

you will be fully trained in the usage and handling of chemicals (pa1 and pa6 training and qualification provided if necessary).

working arrangement

the working week is five days. on average 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week)
