Live-in housekeeper/cook in london victoria - united kingdom, victoria, london
our client is seeking a live in housekeeper who has some cooking skills (indian/nepalese/sri lankan food), to join a team of 2 other housekeepers. the current housekeeper is retiring after many years of service, creating this new vacancy.
the family are international and have busy lives, with 3 children and a 4th on the way, along with a very friendly labrador. key job duties are:-
making indian and european food; good home cooking standard. healthy cooking and some kids food
setting table, serving tea/coffee/snacks
washing dishes, cleaning up the kitchen etc
looking after laundry for kitchen, and some ironing when free
keeping kitchen stock organised, writing shopping lists passing to madam or pa to order more supplies for kitchen and cleaning products etc.
days and hours of work – 5 days or 5.5 days hours 7am – 7pm with breaks. half day would be 7am – 1pm. days on rota basis tends to be same days off each week, agreed on commencement of employment.
accommodation is private bedroom and bathroom in residence.
salary & benefits: £550 - £600 npwk plus all meals are offered on duty, 20 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays, government pension scheme, and monthly pay is end of month last day with payslip by bacs.
other staff:- 2 live in housekeeper/nannies plus one part time house manager.
you will have indefinite leave to remain, a long term work visa, or ideally a british passport and happy to provide a dbs (agency can sort this out). job is to start as soon as possible but will wait for right person if on notice period.
