northern gas and power (a subsidiary of global procurement group) is a global energy procurement consultant and is the largest energy consultancy in europe. we guide businesses of all sizes ranging from smes to global and international organisations in purchasing their energy contracts.
we set up comprehensive strategies for organisations to procure their energy contracts, negotiate contracts with energy suppliers, introduce and operate risk management frameworks; collect, check and analyse invoices, and calculate their ghg emissions and carbon footprints.
our consultancy is supported by our unique clearvue platform that brings together and visualises information from a global energy portfolio down to the last detail - helping our clients work towards their net zero goals and ensuring compliance with climate-related legislation.
the opportunity
for this role, we are looking to hire an outbound sales b2b energy procurement advisor (epa) to support our uk clients. you will be part of our energy procurement team.
the initial aim of this role is to generate sales leads, working alongside our closers whilst they provide our clients with the best solution and close the sale. these leads are found using and growing your current network, as well as our inhouse crm system and through calling new clients. a successful epa has a winning attitude, consistently meets targets, and grows their client portfolio through proactive customer engagement and strategic, disciplined prospect management. the successful candidate will be a self-starter, driven and motivated to succeed with a winning attitude

what exactly will you do?
cold calling potential clients and explaining the benefits of using northern gas and powers services and solutions.
generate and qualify leads in order to provide a handover to your energy procurement closer, become a key team member and learn what it takes to prepare tenders and negotiate the best procurement contracts.
develop relationships with a wide range of uk businesses. utilise your telephone manner and communication skills and build long lasting relationships.
develop knowledge within the energy industry. learn from our expert training from day one and become an industry expert.
progress. work towards being able to manage contract negotiations and onboard new clients with our specialist energy consultants and closers.
you will receive a thorough onboarding process, where we will give you full industry and sales training, everything you need to onboard your first client. after this, you will be equipped to develop and manage your own client portfolio, enjoying a great deal of independence in organising your time and work schedule.
