hours/shifts:
7.30am-10am - two mornings a week monday to friday
2.30pm-5pm – two afternoons a week monday to friday
7.30am-5pm - one day a week monday to friday
saturday or sunday 12noon-7pm (extra hours are available)

• i am a 25 year old bubbly young woman looking for a pa who can support me with all aspect of day to day life and personal care.
• the work will involve helping me to get up in the mornings and then taking me to a day center one day during the week.
• the weekend support will involve supporting me to enjoy fun and leisure activities in my local area and further afield.
• i enjoy all types of music and hope that i can find a pa who will be able to enjoy my love music by taking me to concerts and music festivals.
• i use a wheel chair and need help with transfers using a hoist
• i will need help with administrating oral medication.
• i do have complex needs so i am looking for a pa who has some experience in working with somebody like me.
• experience of supporting people with epilepsy is desirable.

• no smoking home but the applicant can smoke in the garden away from the client

typical duties
domestic -
changing clients bed linen
preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
personal care:
• washing and bathing/showering – towelling dry/ drying hair
• applying cream when needed
• general hair/skin care
• dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
• getting into bed
• assistance with getting out of bed using a hoist
• help with dispensing tablets
• give medication i.e. helping to take tablets from foil/packets plus eyedrops
• helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example assisting employer to get changed at swimming pool/gym.
• getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring')
• mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, assistance to eat
social:
• accompanying and assisting me on shopping trips when required
• accompany me when accessing social and leisure activities. for example; swimming, cinema, groups, social events.
• accompanying me when clothes-buying, including help with un/dressing and lifting clothes on/off the rails.
• occasional longer journeys
• accompanying on trips out e.g. to a concert, on short trips along the seafront, to a festival.
• accompanying to social meetings e.g. friends, family
• the above duties will involve driving the employer in the customer’s mini-bus
