Senior tar planner - united kingdom, aberdeen

overview / responsibilities

wood is currently looking for applications for a senior tar planner with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

the senior tar planner will be:

responsible for planning and scheduling all activities for turnaround (t/a). intimately familiar with the turnaround work process facilitation of primavera system training. able to support provided towards iaps process improvement initiatives. able to always act in accordance with the policy on health, safety and environment and plan for maintenance activities accordingly. ensure all hsse requirements are considered in the planning and scheduling process. facilitation of on-the-job training and coaching to support process adherence and data standards governance in accordance with specific client processes. able to deliver effective turnaround planning/scheduling for all ta related activities (maintenance, operation, project) including gathering work packages with detailed information for planning and execution. able to input data entry / import of detail job plans and estimates into scheduling tool. able to prepare logistics and environmental plans identification, review, and escalation of high-risk activities and communicates key issues and risks to the t/a coordinator and/or t/a event manager. able to implement the t/a scheduling remise document with developing and loading schedule logic. able to develop and understand critical path and near critical path jobs. able to support the resource leveling for the event. able to produce sufficient quality and detailed reports for management and supervision to steer the event where this role covers a partial ta event - work together with lead scheduler to optimise the master schedule. responsible for schedule quality aspects and completion status; management of turnaround files and records. participating in lessons learned and look back process looking for improvements in terms of planning and scheduling. management of (scope) change: reporting back on daily schedule and work with operations, discipline engineers, and t/a (block) and field coordinators on changes.

skills / qualifications

the position requires candidates to have excellent proficiency with sap and primavera. be a skilled communicator. have strong experience in planning and executing turnarounds, with experience and intermediate skill level in scheduling. have strong supervisory skills in managing with good written/verbal communication skills and customer focus. must be able to work effectively in a team environment and build consensus.
