the role:

personal assistant will support sfds's director and president by managing and overseeing all office functions and responsibilities, compiling financial statements, assisting with maintaining budgets, providing administrative support, and working closely with human resources on company-wide policies and regulations while championing the sfds culture. this role will act as a chief of staff to the director of sfds.

the ideal candidate will be passionate yet professional, empathetic yet firm, self-motivated, quick-thinking with a keen sense of business, with flexibility to pivot when necessary with a “no task is too small” mindset. objective, thorough, and capable of juggling multiple and diverse responsibilities will be key for success. this is an exciting and fast moving position that requires someone who is able to think on their feet and is eager to provide solutions wherever needed.

key responsibilities:

oversee the overall administrative function and provide administrative support to the director and sfds headquarters.
autonomously make general business decisions for hq operations needs on behalf of the president in case of absence in real-time.
provide insights on market & business trends utilizing data, analytics, and comparing historical reports that may inform strategy.
implement and collaborate on any special requests/projects with the director and president.
requirements:

the basics:

minimum of 3 years experience in providing administrative support for operations or office management in media, marketing, or advertising.
effective supervisory skills such as: excellent communication, listening, problem-solving, and proactivity.
thrives in an environment with individuals from varying social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
team player with an ability to oversee projects in a fast-paced environment.
a great communicator who can build strong working relationships with vendors, and internal and external partners.
superior work ethic.
comfortable with setting up/troubleshooting technology.
ability to occasionally work beyond typical corporate hours responding to sfds hq needs and the director needs.

the primary work environment for this position is an office, with time on the shop floor as well.
the physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading, acuity, and depth perception), and talking.
