Processing verification engineer - united kingdom, welwyn garden city, hertfordshire

the processing verification engineer will be involved at all stages of the testing lifecycle, with equal emphasis on the production of test documentation and the conducting of testing on payment systems.

the role will involve both producing and executing test plans and test scripts within a formally agreed schedule, as well as customer and other 3rd party liaison.

main responsibilities:

- production of test documentation such as test plans and test scripts / cases

- advising on the scope of functionality requiring testing and the associated time and resource requirements

- conducting all types of testing including unit, skim, system, functional, regression, integration, stress, certification and client end to end testing

- creating test scripts on the available test tools and simulators

- recording of results with the appropriate evidence

- problem log management, from initial analysis through to resolution

- liaison with customers, both internal and external

- liaison with suppliers, both internal and external, to ensure successful resolution of issues found in testing

- analysing client requirements for the purpose of defining the testing requirements

- peer reviewing of testing documentation that has been produced

- set-up and maintenance of test tools and simulators

- to ensure that the overall quality objectives of the company in respect of carrying out job responsibilities are met

- feed into the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures

- comply with the current company information security policy

- understand the need for confidentiality when dealing with customer information and payments information

qualifications:

- degree level qualification or recognised industry qualification
