salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

this new lead business analyst will play a critical role in supporting the head of change & new business implementation by managing a small team (2-3 bas) of business analysts to optimise processes and systems across the organisation. this includes supporting the implementation of power carbon capture & storage and the nuclear regulated asset base; major changes to the contracts for difference scheme for future allocation rounds; and improvements to the capacity market scheme.
key responsibilities:
· own the operating model and process architecture. promote use as a source of corporate knowledge and changes.
· lead business analysis for all change activities, ensuring key initiatives are captured and defined within the change portfolio.
· provide business analysis across the business aligned with methodology driven centrally by the change team including technical documentation to support such as bpmn, uml, use cases, behaviour-driven development, user stories, wireframes and uat.
· promote continuous improvement, supporting the head of change & new business implementation and other heads to action opportunities across the business, including lessons learnt from change projects.
· ensure the development and maintenance of the overarching business analysis tools, techniques and standards.
oversee a team of business analysts to support delivery of the above including recruitment and team development.
skills knowledge and expertise:
· at least 5 years’ experience of delivering within complex change initiatives as a business analyst.
· previous line management responsibility with ability to motivate and mentor others.
· essential: iiba, bcs or other relevant accreditation.
· able to create bpmn, uml and itil standard documentation essential.
· experience of working with both agile and waterfall methodologies.
· able to use excel, visio and pmo software to a high standard.
· able to establish and maintain strong professional relationships across a broad range of internal and external parties.
· strong influencing and decision-making skills, showing clear leadership when it comes to driving out the definition.
experience of working in the energy sector with settlements systems and/or government environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
