the grove nursery islington rated "good” by ofsted is looking for a full time early years teacher to join our enthusiastic team who are passionate about quality childcare.

permanent – 40 hours per week monday - friday 07.45am - 18:30 monday – friday. we are open all year round and offer an excellent holiday package. salary ranging from £27,000-£30,000.

qualifications and experience needed: qualification in primary education teaching early years key stage 1. experience in working with children aged 3 – 4 years essential.

early years teacher must have:

*at least 3 years’ experience with teacher status

* experience in working with children under 5

* good communication skills * good organisational skills * able to find different strategies to suit all children’s needs in all areas of the early years foundation stage

* a good understanding of the importance of inclusion.

*to be able to strengthen the links between home and the setting

* have a good understanding of the importance of working alongside parents in supporting their child’s learning and development

* a good understanding of the opportunities offered for language development through children’s play.

* experience in planning and monitoring children’s development effectively to ensure that they reach certain targets.

* have a friendly and positive attitude to children’s learning and development

* be well organised * ability to problem solve * must be trustworthy and adhere to confidentiality

key responsibilities: * planning – focus child planning, updating key children’s observations on my nursery child nursery observation system.

* to work collaboratively as part of a team * to communicate effectively with children and their families

* coordinate school transitions

* lead parent workshop on transition to school

* have an understanding of safe guarding and health and safety procedures

we believe in personal development and offer regular training, both in house and external we have an external training company that attends once a month.
