Busy hvac construction employer is looking for a pipefitter helper for full time employment with benefits, per below:
primary job responsibilities
• f60 • g60 • osha 40 hour a must !
• pipe fitter helper for commercial/residential installations and repairs of hvac equipment and piping systems for heating hot water, steam, chilled, condenser water, refrigerant and condensate drain piping
• operate equipment such as lifts, beader crimper, brakes, shears, and hand tools.
• work under direction of foreman and mechanic
• inventory and order material as needed.
• works well with others.
position requirements:
• general knowledge of materials and installation experience preferred.
• ability to work in lifts and ladders (safety equipment provided where required).
• ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• ability to work in various environments - cold, hot, tunnels, roof-tops.
• ability to communicate in spanish is a plus
• willingness to work overtime or modified schedule if the project requires.
• consistent attendance
• ability to solder, braze and thread pipe.
• welding knowledge a plus
• ability to read blue print drawings
• fdny cert of fitness
• fdny fire watch certificate
