responsibilities for front counter sales job include but are not limited to:
assist the customers at the counter with their queries
ask questions and provide relevant information to the customers that they might need and then list down the orders which the customers might purchase thereby providing them excellent service.
must treat all the customers with respect and courtesy.
enter customer orders, pricing, quotations, sales orders, invoices and work orders.
full understanding of quickbooks or other order processing software.
pay attention to detail when charging credit cards to the customers
manage email orders and conduct follow up on them.
take orders by phone and process them.
need to follow up on the orders and should be upbeat while resolving problems and ensuring customer satisfaction.
communicate effectively with the customers regarding any relevant procedures and policies which might be beneficial to them.
maintain open communication with the sales rep regarding the customer’s orders
adhere with the company schedule (monday-friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm)
notify the purchasing department when inventory is low
candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for front counter sales job:
bilingual (english and spanish)
proficiency in microsoft office suite
hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
professional attitude and appearance
solid written and verbal communication skills
multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
customer service attitude
high school degree; additional certification in office management is a plus
