we are seeking a skilled accounting professional to join our team. this person will manage the financial areas of the business. they will maintain an accurate set of books. this role does not involve ar or collections.

the schedule is flexible, and a mix of in-office and work-from-home is possible. please note that only local candidates will be considered.

the ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving skills and is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

typical responsibilities:
• maintain general ledger
• record deposits, reconcile accounts, file sales tax
• reconcile daily cash and credit card deposits
• monthly bank reconciliations
• inventory control
• payroll
• month-end close, prepare year-end materials for outside cpa firm
• prepare financial reports, incl. balance sheet, income statements

general requirements:
• thorough knowledge of gl, a/p, journal entries
• understanding of cost of sales and landed cost
• experience with accounting software and ms office applications; knowledge of quickbooks enterprise and/or netsuite preferred
• bachelor's or associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

hours: 20-25 hrs/week
