Construction payroll expert needed - united states, lasvegas

what we are looking for:
the ideal candidate will have at least 3 years accounting experience with the ability to quickly grasp new methods and processes. you must be able to work independently in a firm deadline environment. experience in quarterly/annual payroll reporting, and knowledge of prevailing wages is a plus. aia billing or construction experience in a payroll capacity is required. if you are the right candidate, we will train!

responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, support in the following areas:

• accounts receivable: aia progress billing, managing lien releases, intercompany tie outs.
• accounts payable: work within a po system of checks and balances with job costing; verify balances due against releases provided to expedite billing.
• payroll entry and weekly processing for 100+ employees
• quarterly and annual payroll reports - 940/941, suta, fuel rebate filing
• certified payroll/davis bacon - prevailing wage calculations
• lien releases, mechanic’s liens, collections
• w-2’s
• 1099’s
• job costing/fuel usage maintenance/company data management
• general ledger reviews and assist in financial statement preparation

requirements:

• construction or general accounting experience, (preferably with a min 2-year degree)
• it background preferred
• proficiency in microsoft office systems; advanced excel skills
• strong 10-key and data entry experience
• experience in construction software a plus
• professional communication
• pass pre-employment drug screening & background check

office hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, monday -friday
