summary
the mailroom clerk position is responsible for helping in various areas of the epiq systems mail center including handwork, fanning, quality check and sorting responsibilities. quality results driven with an eye for detail in a fast paced, high volume work environment is the ideal incumbent for this role.
job responsibilities
• handwork: staple packets, stuffing envelopes and organizing items as directed by standard operating procedures.

• fanner: assists either insert/sorter operator at the end of the mail machines. quality check production mail pieces to ensure mail is produced in accordance with standard operating procedures. also, performs line breakdown and tray preparation for entry into the usps.

• meter: applies postage to mail pieces by running them through a postage meter. quality checks the mail pieces before and after processing to ensure mail is produced in accordance with usps regulations.

qualifications
• high school diploma or ged
• basic understanding of usps regulations
• results driven with high attention to detail
• must be able to lift 30 pounds.
• must be able to sit or stand on your feet all day and be able to bend, turn, twist and lift.
• must be able to understand english and follow operator instructions.
• must be able to communicate in english.
