responsibilities
● greet customers upon arrival to location and complete a walk-through of the premises
● review and fill out the moving contract with the customer
● maintain professional and courteous demeanor when working with customers, colleagues and the public
● responsible for overseeing the crew assigned to the job, assuring they are working efficiently, manage break times, maintain timekeeping records, document any incidents or injuries
● lead the crew in packing, wrapping, unpacking, loading shipment on and/or off of the truck
● must ensure that the moving truck is prepared daily – confirm the truck is loaded with all the necessary moving supplies, dollies, straps, tools and moving pads
● be prepared in uniform daily
● other duties as assigned

skills
● capacities: the mental and physical abilities required to do the job. stamina to lift heavy items (50lbs) repeatedly while climbing stairs, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc. aptitude to read and understand the move day contracts, and further, the ability to relay and review with the clients. management skills required to effectively oversee a team of helpers
● attitudes: every day is a new experience, a new challenge, a new client. a customer service oriented dispositions, the ability to follow orders and be dependable are required. moving is very stressful; our employees need to be patient, dependable, and must care for our clients’ belongings as if they are their own
● personality: potential applicants must be true team players. professional attitude and demeanor
● skills: expertise required to do the job

requirements
● high school diploma or equivalent preferred but not necessary
● 100% drug-free - pre-employment and random drug screens administered
● must be willing to travel (local, intrastate and/or interstate)
● ability to be on time and reliable; ability to meet deadlines
