plan action fund was founded in 2012 as the political, 501c4, arm of the progressive leadership alliance of nevada. plan action seeks to transform progressive ideas into policy through rapid response communications, legislative action, grassroots organizing, policy advocacy, electoral organizing, and partnerships with other progressive leaders and organizations in nevada.

canvassing & phonebanking is a key and essential part of winning the 2022 elections- conversations made directly with voters is how we make an essential impact in advocating for a more progressive nevada! the 2022 plan action canvassers will be a part of a large team working to build a nevada where all people have the ability to thrive.



responsibilities:

participate in training to learn canvassing model and scripts;
door-to-door canvass with targeted voters in late afternoon-early evening;
have multiple deep canvass conversations per shift;
ensure that conversations are tracked in minivan [voter database];
debrief conversations on a daily basis with canvass team and organizer.
responsibility breakdown: canvassing 70%, phonebanking 30%


qualifications:

excellent listening and communication skills. empathetic and motivational.
capacity to listen without judgment.
excitement for electing progressive candidates up and down the ballot
ability to self navigate nevada communities and neighborhoods
ability to walk and have conversations over a 6-8 hour daily shift (with breaks)
